First DiGA on prescription possible as of August!

According to the information provided by the hih during yesterday’s DiGA Summit, first inclusions into the DiGA catalogue may start as of May 2020.

During yesterday’s (22nd April 2020) DiGA Summit, the health innovation hub (hih) informed on the current status of the implementation of the Digital Supply Act (DVG).

Prerequisites for the prescription of a digital health application (DiGA) is its inclusion into a respective catalogue after evaluation of the BfArM.

Based on the data published yesterday, the applications for the inclusion into the DiGA catalogue can be submitted to BfArM as of May. Afterwards, the BfArM is allowed to evaluate the application for three months. This means that the first DiGAs included into the catalogue are expected for August 2020.
