Digital care applications („Digitale Pflegeanwendungen“ – DiPA) as part of digital healthcare for patients in need of care will be anchored in a law.
The DVPMG (“Digitale Versorgung und Pflege-Modernisierungs-Gesetz“) will expectedly come into effect in summer 2021. Digital care applications can then be prescribed by a physician and are reimbursed via the statutory health insurance.
